Introduction
The Text Tool allows you to add text annotations directly to your PDF on top of original content. Whether you're reviewing construction documents, coordinating with consultants, or marking up architectural drawings, this PDF markup tool makes document review and team collaboration clearer and more efficient.
Step 1: Adding Text to Your PDF
Locate the Text Tool (T icon) in the left toolbar and click to activate it. Then click anywhere on the PDF to place a text box and type your comment. By default, new text appears in red for visibility during review.

Step 2: Move or Delete Text
Move text: Click and drag the text box to move or resize it.

Delete text: To remove a text annotation, first select the text box. On desktop, press the Delete key on your keyboard. On iPad, tap the trash icon at the top of the screen.

Step 3: Customize Text Appearance
To modify text settings:
- Select the text box.
- Click the Properties icon right next to the tool selected.

How to use the property panel?
From the Properties panel, you can adjust border settings (color, weight, opacity), text formatting (color, font, size, style), and background options (color and transparency). These formatting options help tailor your PDF comments for clarity, emphasis, or team standards, making them especially useful for AEC collaboration and construction document markup.

The Text Tool provides a quick and flexible way to annotate PDFs, add comments, and customize text formatting. With support for repositioning, resizing, and detailed styling, it's ideal for collaborative PDF annotation, design review, and AEC workflows.
